In September 2017, Pat (Van Landschoot) and Ken Barnes from the United States visited Belgium. During their stay, they came to our home in Knokke, where we spent time together and renewed a connection that had begun earlier during our visit to St. Petersburg, Florida. We showed them around Knokke and, the following day, travelled together to Bruges, where we enjoyed a boat trip along the historic canals. It was a warm and memorable visit, bringing together family ties from both sides of the Atlantic.
